The first eight-stall ORLEN Charge hub in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, enabling fast charging of electric vehicles with power of up to 400 kW, has been launched along the S7 route between Gdańsk and Warsaw, at the ORLEN fuel station in Nowy Dwór Gdański.

The hub is equipped with a modern dynamic power management system that actively adjusts the power level to ensure optimal and safe charging of electric vehicle batteries. It dynamically distributes energy among the vehicles being charged, allowing each electric car to receive the optimal charging power. As a result, regardless of how many vehicles are charging, charging times remain short and the process stays efficient. Depending on the vehicle’s technical capabilities, charging a battery to 80% can take around 20 minutes.

ORLEN Charge hubs are primarily being built along major transit routes. ORLEN Charge charging stations will also appear in urban areas, significantly improving the convenience of using electric vehicles in terms of charging speed and infrastructure availability.

The ORLEN Charge hub in Nowy Dwór Gdański allows eight vehicles to charge simultaneously. The dynamic power-sharing system ensures optimal charging time and power ranging from a minimum of 200 kW (when all stations are occupied) up to a maximum of 400 kW at a single charging point.

In November 2025, starting at the Olsztynek South rest area (MOP) on the S7 Gdańsk–Warsaw route, ORLEN Charge began gradually opening eight-stall fast-charging hubs for drivers along expressways and highways. Additional locations followed at the Barnisław North and South rest areas on the A6 Szczecin–Berlin motorway, the Gruczno West rest area on the S5 Grudziądz–Bydgoszcz route, the Brzegi rest area on the S7 Kielce–Kraków route, as well as the Szczecin rest area on the S10 expressway (Szczecin–Warsaw) and the Gorzów Wielkopolski rest area on the S3 route (Poznań–Szczecin). By the end of 2027, several dozen more ORLEN Charge hubs are planned.

As a result, customers traveling on expressways and highways can conveniently charge their vehicles during their journeys. ORLEN fuel stations hosting ORLEN Charge hubs offer, among other amenities, a wide range of food options at Stop Cafe and dedicated rest areas, making the newly developed ORLEN Charge infrastructure even more comfortable for drivers.
